Crossing the Finish Line helps adult cancer patients, their caregivers and their families cope with the unyielding physical and emotional demand of cancer by providing a one week, expense paid respite excursion in a peaceful, secure environment. We aim to strengthen the hearts, minds and souls of these courageous individuals as they battle the psychological, emotional, economic and spiritual trauma that accompanies an unexpected diagnosis.

Our cancer patients are our "Sailors" and their respite are "excursions." To be considered for an excursion, a Sailor must:
- Have a physician diagnosis of cancer
- Be between the ages of 24-50
- Reside in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware

Healthcare Providers Direct Partnership
Crossing the Finish Line is proud to partner with Healthcare Providers Direct, Inc. through its Colon Health Check product to support CFL's mission of providing respites to adult cancer patients and their families. For each Colon Health Check kit sold via direct response advertising, the company will donate $2.00 to support CFL's efforts. CFL's Digital Identity - New Ways to Help Our Sailors!
Become a Wired Fundraiser (or wired supporter) - In tough economic times, it's important to ensure proper funding for our respite excursions. It's easier than ever for our community members to become fundraisers on CFL's behalf with the use of fund raising widgets. To learn more about fund raising widgets, please visit sixdegrees.org's blog spot or copy and paste our template onto your own blog or Myspace page by clicking on the share tab on our below. If you're on Myspace or Facebook, add the causes application and join the CFL cause "support young adult cancer patients" for facebook and for myspace. Through this application, you can raise funds, recruit supporters and show the internet community the difference you are making in the cancer world.
Help Spread Awareness for CFL - Join us on Myspace or become a fan of our page on Facebook. According to the American Cancer Society, more than 1.4 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed in 2008 in the United States. This startling fact makes the mission of CFL all the more important.
