In March, 2002, Crossing the Finish Line began welcoming Sailors to our first respite home in Davenport, Florida. The home is located in the Orlando vicinity, a setting that is peaceful and refreshing for our Sailors' excursions. Guests are greeted by home-baked treats prepared by friendly neighbors, neighbors who ensure our special home is treated with TLC year 'round.

These destinations are available because of the generosity of homeowners: Avalon, California, Cape May, Grenada, Hilton Head, Long Beach Island, Maine, Ocean City, Outer Banks, Poconos, Sea Isle City, Stone Harbor, St. Martins, Washington D.C., and Wildwood Crest.
Crossing the Finish Line relies on donated homes in various regions of the United States to house our Sailors for their one-week respites. We have been fortunate to have had private homes donated in resort regions including the Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania Poconos; North Carolina; Carmel, California; and warm regions in Florida. We are in special need of warm weather homes during the months of November through April!
